Origin: St. Cyr at Mont d'Or near Lyon, France 1920 Blossom, pollination: Blossom self-fertile, hardly susceptible to frost Cropping: High yields Maturity: Early (Mid-August) Fruit characteristics: Medium to large sized, 40-45g, rounded oblong shape, pale orange background colour with 10-40% red blush, slightly speckled, moderately juicy, firm flesh, moderately sweet, acidulous aromatic taste Tree habit: Medium to vigorous growth, half-erect Susceptibilities: Susceptible to Sharka (Plum pox virus, PPV), little susceptible to Monilia Genetic characterisation: To elucidate the genetic relationship among apricot cultivars, a dendrogram generated from the UPGMA cluster analysis was produced (Dendrogram).
